Privacy Policy

How Zoekee collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information.

Effective January 2025 Last updated August 5, 2026

Scope and responsibility

This Policy applies to Zoekee and explains how the Florida limited liability company operating Zoekee handles personal information. Zoekee is the business responsible for the practices described here.

The Service is currently offered for the United States. We plan to expand internationally, but we will announce that expansion and update this Policy before offering the Service in additional countries.

Information you provide

  • Account information, such as your email address, username, password credentials, and settings
  • Profile details and optional information about your interests or location
  • Articles, revisions, comments, images, messages, reports, and other content you submit
  • Support, privacy, safety, and copyright communications
  • Transaction details if a paid feature is introduced; payment processors may collect card information directly

Information collected automatically

  • Device, browser, operating system, language, and approximate location derived from an IP address
  • Requested pages, referring domains, timestamps, feature interactions, and error or security events
  • Required cookies used for sessions, sign-in, preferences, security, and abuse prevention
  • Optional Google Analytics data only after you give consent

How we use information

  • Provide, secure, maintain, personalize, and improve the Service
  • Create accounts, remember settings, and provide support
  • Publish content you choose to make public and support collaborative editing
  • Detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our rules
  • Measure product use with consent and comply with legal obligations
  • Communicate important service, safety, privacy, or policy updates

When information is shared

Public profile information and public contributions can be seen by anyone. Search engines and other people may copy or share public content outside Zoekee.

We may share information with vendors that host, secure, analyze, or support the Service; when required by law; to prevent harm; during a business transaction; or with your direction or consent.

We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not currently use ad pixels, session replay, or third-party chat tracking.

Cookies and analytics

Required cookies keep accounts, security, preferences, and essential features working. They cannot be disabled through our preference page without breaking core functions.

Google Analytics 4 is our only approved non-essential analytics provider. It stays off unless you opt in. You can change that choice at any time on the Cookie & analytics page.

A Global Privacy Control signal keeps optional analytics off. We do not treat required security and session storage as optional analytics.

Retention

We keep account and public contribution data while needed to provide the Service and for reasonable legal, safety, integrity, and backup purposes. Deleted material may remain temporarily in backups.

Raw first-party analytics events are kept for 30 days and aggregates for 365 days. Error logs are kept for 14 days and security logs for 90 days under our current analytics policy.

Our policy is to configure Google Analytics user-level and event-level retention for no more than 14 months. Google may retain other data under its own documented practices.

Your choices and rights

You may update many account and profile details directly. You may also ask for access, correction, deletion, or another privacy action through our contact page.

Rights vary by state and may depend on legal thresholds or exceptions. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request and may retain information where law permits or requires it.

You may opt out of optional analytics without an account. We do not discriminate against people for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and they may not create accounts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.

Security and United States processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No online service can promise complete security, so protect your credentials and report suspected account misuse.

Information is processed in the United States and may be handled by providers in other locations. International access does not mean the Service is currently offered outside the United States.

Changes and contact

We may update this Policy as the Service, law, or our practices change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice when a change is material and notice is appropriate.

Privacy questions and requests can be sent through our contact page or to [email protected].
